BARD1 (BRCA1 Associated Ring Domain 1) |
|
|
Description: BARD1 possesses an N-terminal RING motif and the C-terminal BRCT domain. As the name suggests, this protein is the major cellular binding protein of BRCA1. BARD1 is thought to play a key role in regulating BRCA1 stability, localisation and function. BARD1 is also reported to function as a tumor suppressor, since mutations in this protein have been implicated in a number of breast and ovarian cancers. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:15000 Immunoprecipitation: 10-40ug/mg protein Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Reagents: I1903-30U IgG, H&L, X-adsorbed (HRP) Sheep anti rabbit Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
