Technical Data
BCA-1 Human, Recombinant (B Cell Attracting Chemokine1, B Lymphocyte Chemoattractant, BLC, CXCL13, BLR1 Ligand)
BCA-1/BLC, a CXC chemokine, is expressed in the liver, spleen, lymph nodes, appendix and stomach. It exerts its activities through its only receptor CXCR5. BCA-1/BLC is a potent chemoattractant for B lymphocytes and induces weak chemotactic response in T cells and macrophages. It manifests no activity on neutrophils and monocytes. Recombinant Human BCA-1 is a 10.1 D protein containing 85 amino acid residues including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CXC chemokines.

Suitable for use inDirect ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
ELISA: >0.5ug/ml. Detects hBCA-1 at 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant hBCA-1.
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Detects hBCA-1 at 1.5-3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
