Description: The gene codes for a 79kD protein that is homologous with zinc finger-transcription factors. It contains an N-terminal POZ domain and six zinc-finger motifs. It can interact with a variety of POZ-containing proteins that function as transcription corepressors. It shares amino-terminal homology with several transcription factors including the Drosophila tramtrack and Broad-complex genes, both of which are developmental transcription regulators. It may be a proto-oncogene specifically involved in the pathogenesis of diffuse large-cell lymphoma (DLCL). It blocks cellular differentiation by repressing transcription of its target genes, and this may promote tumorigenesis. It maps to 3q27 region of human chromosome. It is expressed in germinal center T and B cells and in primary immature dendritic cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:100-1:500 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:10-1:25 Immunohistochemistry: Frozen Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human T cell line Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
