Bcl11b (CTIP2, RIT1, B-cell CLL/lymphoma 11B, COUP-TF Interacting Protein 2)
Description:
This gene encodes a C2H2-type zinc finger protein and is closely related to BCL11A, a gene whose translocation may be associated with B-cell malignancies. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants, which encode distinct isoforms, have been reported.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation,. Other applications not tested.

Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Specific for human Bcl-11b protein. Other species not tested. Reactivity with mouse Bcl11b is likely owing to conservation of sequence between this ortholog and human Bcl11b at the site to which the epitope maps.
