Recombinant Human beta-defensin-2
(BD-2) is an antimicrobial peptide which belongs to the distinct family of beta-defensins. Recent studies have shown that the beta-defensins are present in the human airways. It may be relevant to the pathogenesis of cystic fibrosis lung disease. Recombinant Human BD-2 is a 4.3kD protein containing 41 amino acid residues.

Rrecombinant protein corresponding to human BD2, expressed in E. coli

Biological Activity:
Determined by its ability to chemoattract immature human dendritic cells using a concentration of 10-100ng/ml.
