BHMT (Betaine-homocysteine S-methyltransferase 1)
Description:
BHMT is a 45kD cytosolic zinc metalloenzyme predominantly expressed in the liver and kidney, which acts as a major regulator of homocysteine homeostasis, by catalyzing the conversion of betaine and homocysteine to dimethylglycine and methionine.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 0.03-0.1ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Positive Control:
Human Liver, Mouse Liver and Rat Liver lysates

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
