Description:
This antibody has a very high affinity for biotin and is excellent for use in various amplification techniques. It recognizes both the free and protein- conjugated (either soluble or cell bound) form of biotin. In some applications, localization of biotinylated probes with avidin produces unacceptably high background staining. Anti-biotin antibody may be substituted to decrease this noise.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 2.5-5ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
