Technical Data
B1750-11
Biotin (D-Biotin, Vitamin H, Coenzyme R, Bioepiderm)
Description:
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and highly speci c immunological methods requiring extremely low background levels, absence of F(c) mediated binding, high titer and speci city.

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:4000-1:20,000 using 1ug biotinylated BSA.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Immunogen:
Biotin conjugated to Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin (KLH)
Purity:
Purified by immunoaf nity chromatography followed by pepsin digestion and chromatographic separation.
Form
Supplied as a sterile-filtered liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.01% sodium azide, before the addition of glycerol to 40%.
Specificity:
Recognizes biotin. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-goat serum, biotinylated IgG and biotinylated BSA. No crossreactivity was observed against anti-pepsin or anti-goat IgG F(c).
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
