Slo1 (BKCa, BKCA alpha, BK channel, BK channel alpha subunit, Kcnma1, Potassium Large Conductance Calcium-Activated Channel, subfamily M, alpha member 1) |
|
|
Description: Slo1 (Calcium-activated potassium channel subunit alpha-1) may not only be activated by membrane depolarization but may also be by an increase in cytosolic Ca2+. The concentration of cytosolic Mg2+ also activates this potassium channel. Found to play a part in the repolarization of the membrane potential due to the fact that it diminishes the excitatory voltage in the cell. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml detects Slo1 on 10ug of rat brain membrane tissue lysate. Immunohistochemistry: 1:500 detects Slo1 in rat cerebellum tissue. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Rat brain membrane tissue lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
