BMAL1 (MOP3, Members of PAS Superfamily, Brain And Muscle ARNT-like 1, JAP3, PAS3, CYCLE)
Description:
MOP3 (BMAL1), a general dimerization partner for a subset of the bHLH-PAS (basic-helix-loop-helix-PER-ARNT-SIM) superfamily of transcription regulators, is involved in circadian rhythm generation. MOP3 interacts with MOP4, CLOCK, hypoxia-inducible factor-1 alpha and -2 alpha. This interaction appears to be distinct from that of the more characterized general partner, ARNT (HIF-1 beta).

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml using 1ug/ml control peptide/well
Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml using ECL
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Purified by affinity chromatography
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.1% BSA, 0.1% sodium azide
Specificity:
Recognizes Drosophila BMAL1. Significant homology is seen with mammalian USFs (Upstream Stimulatory Factors 1 and 2) and human and mouse BMAL1 and ARNTs. The immunogen shows no significant sequence homology with mammalian Clock or Per proteins.
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
