BNF1 (CHRDL2, CHL2, FKSG37, Breast Tumor Novel Factor 1, Chordin-like 2)
BNF-1, also known as Chordin-Like 2, (CHRDL2), is a glycoprotein that negatively regulates cartilage formation by binding Activin A and BMPs and preventing interaction with their receptors. BNF1 contains three von Willebrand factor type C domains. Alternate splicing of mouse BNF1 generates intracellular as well as secreted variants.

Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Species Crossreactivity: Human. Other species have not been tested. Reactivity with mouse BNF1 is unlikely owing to divergence of sequence between this ortholog and human BNF1 at the site to which the epitope maps.
