BubR1 (Bub1b, Bub1A, MAD3L, budding uninhibited by benzimidazoles related 1, budding uninhibited by benzimidazoles 1 homolog beta, mitotic arrest deficient-like 3 like)
This gene encodes a kinase involved in spindle checkpoint function. The protein has been localized to the kinetochore and plays a role in the inhibition of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), delaying the onset of anaphase and ensuring proper chromosome segregation. Impaired spindle checkpoint function has been found in many forms of cancer.

Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:2500-1:7500. Whole cell lysate (50ug for Input, 1mg for IP) from HeLa cells that were untreated (-, interphase) or treated with Nocodazole (+, mitotic). Antibody used at 0.2ug/ml for Western Blot and at 3ug/mg lysate for IP.
Immunoprecipitation: 1-5ug/mg lysate. Immunoprecipitated using another affinity purified rabbit anti-BubR1 antibody to a different epitope.

Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
