Description:
Application(s): Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunoprecipitation 25-100ug/ml. Tested against 5-Methyl Cytosine (5-MeC) and bromo-deoxyuridine (BrdU) or control (no antigen) and assayed by A-405 spectrophotometry. At a concentration of 25ug/ml, this product demonstrates 8 fold higher reactivity with 5-MeC versus BrdU. Product titers out at 50ng/ml. For best results, use the product at 25-100ug/ml. Nearly complete immununoprecipitation was obtained at 100-500ug/ml.

Immunohistochemistry Frozen and Paraffin sections: 10ug/ml. Stains bromodeoxyuridine incorporated into DNA of replicating cells. Denature DNA sample-first so base is accessable to BrdU antibody.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
