|
Description: C-myc is involved in the control of cell proliferation and differentiation. Translocation of the c-myc locus on chromosome 8 to the immunoglobulin loci on chromosome 14 (heavy chain); 2 (k light chain); or 22 (l light chain) is described in Burkitt’s lymphoma and other B-cell lympho-proliferative conditions. An aberrant expression of the c-myc gene occurs in tumors of different origins such as colorectal, gastric, gallbladder, hepatic, mammary, ovarian, endometrial, head and neck, pulmonary, prostatic, thyroidal, oral, ocular, nasopharyngeal, endocrine, as well as hematopoietic neoplasms. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
