Description: Calcitonin is found in C cells of normal and hyperplastic thyroid. This antibody can be used to detect the presence of calcitonin in these tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:100 for 30 mins. at 25 °C. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Thyroid (cytoplasmic staining pattern) Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
