Description:
Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic
Applications: Suitable for use in RID, Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |

Immunogen:
Turkey gizzard caldesmon was used as the immunogen. Epitope: This antibody is directed against an epitope located on the calmodulin non-binding part of the molecule.
Purity:
Ascites
Form
0.1% Sodium Azide; Raw Ascites
Specificity:
The antibody localizes the high molecular weight form of caldesmon from pig stomach, chicken or turkey gizzard, and the low molecular weight form of caldesmon from chicken fibroblasts when used in an immunoblot technique. Species Crossreactivity: Crossreacts with Human, Chicken, Guinea pig, Pig, Rabbit and Turkey. Not yet tested in other species.
