CAPN2, CT (Calpain-2 Catalytic Subunit, Calpain-2 Large Subunit, Calcium-activated Neutral Proteinase 2, CANP 2, Calpain M-type, M-calpain, Millimolar-calpain, Calpain Large Polypeptide L2, CANPL2) |

Description: The calpains, calcium-activated neutral proteases, are nonlysosomal, intracellular cysteine proteases. The mammalian calpains include ubiquitous, stomach-specific, and muscle-specific proteins. The ubiquitous enzymes consist of heterodimers with distinct large, catalytic subunits associated with a common small, regulatory subunit. CAPN2 is the large subunit of the ubiquitous enzyme, calpain 2. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
