Human Cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1) is a member of the leukemia inhibitory/ciliary neurotrophic factor/Oncostatin M/interleukin-6/interleukin-11 family of cytokines. Cardiotrophin-1 affects cells through interaction with the gp 130 receptor subunit. Recombinant human Cardiotrophin- 1 is a 22.5kD protein containing 200aa residues. Source: Recombinant corresponding to human Cardiotrophin 1 expressed in E. coli. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with Tris. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: ~22.5kD |
