Description: The catenins (alpha, beta and gamma) are ubiquitously expressed, cytoplasmic proteins that associate with E-cadherin. Alpha-catenin can also bind P-cadherin and N- cadherin. Gamma-catenin, also known as plakoglobin, is an 82kD protein that binds with alpha-catenin and N-cadherin. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
