When supplemented with blood will support growth of many fastidious bacteria including Gardnerella vaginalis.

Appearance:
Beige, homogeneous, free flowing powder

Solubility:
Light amber to medium amber, trace to slight haze




Directions: Dissolve 43g in 1L of ddH2O. Heat with frequent agitation and boil for one minute to completely dissolve the medium. Autoclave at 121ºC for 15 minutes. After cooling medium to 50ºC, aseptically add 5% sterile blood and 0.15% sterile water-lysed blood solution (one part blood to three parts water).

Storage and Stability: Store powdered media at RT. Opened bottles should be capped tightly and kept in a dark, low humidity environment. Prepared media should be kept at 4°C and used within a short period of time.
