CBX3, ID (Chromobox Protein Homolog 3, HECH, Heterochromatin Protein 1 Homolog gamma, HP1 gamma, Modifier 2 Protein) |
|
|
Description: CBX3 seems to be involved in transcriptional silencing in heterochromatin-like complexes. It recognizes and binds histone H3 tails methylated at 'Lys-9', leading to epigenetic repression. It may contribute to the association of the heterochromatin with the inner nuclear membrane through its interaction with lamin B receptor (LBR). In addition, it is involved in the formation of functional kinetochore through interaction with MIS12 complex proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:32,000 Western Blot: 0.3-1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 2.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
