CCR1 (C-C chemokine receptor type 1) is a transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, expressed by a wide range of cells, which acts as a vital signal transducer for the recruitment of effector immune cells to inflammation sites, and may play a role in the regulation of Th1/Th2 cytokine responses. CCR1 binds to several immunoregulatory chemokines, including MIP-1 alpha (macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha), MIP-1 delta, MCP-3 (monocyte chemoattractant protein 3) and RANTES (regulated on activation normal T expressed and secreted protein). Studies have also shown that CCR1 binds with high affinity to viral MIP-2, displacing its normal ligands.

Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
