Description: Porcine CD1 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors. It has a domain organization similar to that of MHC class I molecules and is expressed in association with Beta2-microglobulin. CD1 is found on B cells, macrophages and immature thymocytes. There is evidence for a role of CD1 in presentation of lipids and peptides to T cells(1-3). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow cytometry(1), Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation(1-3). Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: acetone-fixed, frozen tissue sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
