Description: CD11b is also known as CD11b/CD18, Mac-1, alphaMbeta2 integrin, Cr3, MO-1, C3bi Receptor). CD11b is a marcophage-granulocyte specific antigen. Mac-1 macrophage differentiation antigen is associated with type three complement receptor and mediates adhesion to CD54 (ICAM-1). CD11b antigen is present on macrophages, granulocytes, natural killer cells, blood monocytes. CD11b is expressed on 8% spleen cells, 44% bone marrow cells and <1% of thymocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation and Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (acetone fixed tissue, paraffin embedded tissue): 1:100 Immunocytochemistry: 1:100 on cell line HL-60. Immunoprecipitation: 1:100. Recognizes a protein at 95 and 165kD. Flow Cytometry: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
