Description: CD44 (H-CAM, Homing Cell Adhesion Molecule) is a 85-90kD transmembrane protein. The human CD44 gene contains 19 exons; 1-5 and 15-19 are expressed by wild-type CD44, also known as the standard hemopoietic form (CD44s). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, RIA, Flow Cytometry, Immunoflourescence, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:2000 RIA: 1:5000 Flow Cytometry: 1:1000 Immunoflourescence: 1:200 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:250 Antigen retrieval is usually not needed. Immunoprecipitation: 1:200 Western Blot: 1:1000. Non-reduced only. ~90kD band detected; Blocking PBS/5% milk protein. Overnight incubation. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
