Description: The affinity of the C2441-06L for rat Thy-1 is 3x10e9m-1 and for mouse Thy-1.1 is 3x10e8m-1 (1). The Thy-1 antigen is found on a variety of cell types including thymocytes, neuronal cells, T-Lymphocytes (mouse), stem cells and immature B cells (rat) and connective tissue. The molecule is a glycoprotein with 112aa which is homologous to immunoglobulin domains. The binding characteristics have been extensively studied. Demonstrated to promote neurite outgrowths on peripherin-stained sympathetic rat neurons, using fluorescence microscopy (5) and reported to induce glomerular nephritis in Wistar rats (8). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:100. 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul. Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Recommended Secondary Reagents: Goat anti-mouse IgG labeled with FITC (rat absorbed): I1904-03A: IgG, X-Adsorbed (FITC) Pab Dk xMo I1904-06F: IgG, H&L (FITC) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo Goat anti mouse IgG labeled with RPE (rat adsorbed) I1903-12X: IgG, H&L, X-Adsorbed (PE) Pab Dk xMo Recommended Negative Controls: I1904-78Y: IgG1, Murine Negative Control (For rat tissue) Hybridoma: NS1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Source: Tissue culture supernatant Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
