CES1, predominantly expressed in the liver, is involved in the metabolism of fatty acids and cholesterol by acting as an acyl-CoA:cholesterol acyl-transferase, and also in the metabolism of several clinical drugs including heroin, cocaine and demerol.

Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:8000
Western Blot: 0.03-0.1ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 2.5ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
