Cholera Toxin |
|
|
Description: Cholera toxin is comprised of two subunits, A and B. Subunit A is an ADP-ribosyltransferase, which disrupts the proper signaling of G proteins, leading to cell dehydration. The 12kD nontoxic subunit B ("choleragenoid"), which is assembled into a 60kD pentamer above pH 2, allows the protein complex to bind to cellular surfaces via the pentasaccharide chain of ganglioside GM1. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:20-1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Matched Pairs (capture/detection): C4275-39H / C4275-39H C4275-39J / C4275-39H C4275-39J / C4275-39K Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
