Description: This monoclonal antibody is a general marker for neurohormonal peptide producing cells (APUD) and neoplasms derived from these cells. Utrastructural studies have shown that the antigen is located in the secretory granules and therefore poorly granulated endocrine cells stain weakly or not at all. This should be considered when using this antibody. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Acetone fixed frozen sections, formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue): 1:10 using the Indirect method. Pretreatment is not necessary. Dilute immediately before use with PBS or Tris. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Adrenal medulla, pancreas. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
