Human ciliary neutotrophic factor (CTNF), is a survival factor for various neuronal cell types believed to prevent the degeneration of motor axons after axotomy. Source: Recombinant corresponding to human CTNF, 199aa, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~22.7kD Endotoxin: 1EU/ug Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of human TF-1 cells is 50-150ng/ml. Applications: Suitable for use in Functional Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Functional Assays: 50ng/ml-150ng/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with 200ul of 5mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.5. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
Source: Recombinant, expressed in E. coli Purity: Purified: ~98% (SDS PAGE/HPLC) Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder in 5mM sodium phosphate, 75mM sodium chloride. Preservative free. Reconstitute with 200ul of 5mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.5. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
