Description: CLEC4D (C-type lectin domain family 4 member D), also known as CLCSF8, CLEC-6, and MCL, is a 30kD type II transmembrane (TM) glycoprotein that belongs to the CLR (C-type Lectin Receptor) family of molecules. It is synthesized as a 215aa protein that contains a 17aa N-terminal cytoplasmic domain, a 21aa TM segment, and a 177aa C-terminal extracellular region. The extracellular region shows a short stalk and a 118aa CRD (carbohydrate recognition domain). The nature of its carbohydrate ligand is unknown. CLEC4D is restricted to monocytes/macrophages and serves as an endocytic receptor. Homodimers and homotrimers form on the cell surface. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Myeloma with B cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for at least 12 months at 4°C. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light. |
