Description: Collagen type IV is a major componant of basement membranes, such as those associated with capillaries and within glomeruli. This antibody will help detect col- logen type IV and determine the presence of an intact basal lamina in normal tissues or the loss of structure as seen in various carcinomas. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:200 for 1 hr. at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Kidney (basement membranes staining pattern) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
