COMP, ID (Cartilage Oligomeric Matrix Protein, Thrombospondin-5, TSP5)
COMP is a noncollagenous extracellular matrix (ECM) protein. It consists of five identical glycoprotein subunits, each with EGF-like and calcium-binding (thrombospondin-like) domains. Oligomerization results from formation of a five-stranded coiled coil and disulfides. Binding to other ECM proteins such as collagen appears to depend on divalent cations.

Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: 1:1000
Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:10-1:50
Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
