Complement Factor B (CFB, BF, BFD, C3/C5 Convertase, CFAB, Glycine-rich beta Glycoprotein, GBG, FB, PBF2, Properdin Factor B)
Properdin factor B is a heat-labile serum protein active in the alternative complement
activation pathway. It is binding to the C3b component of complement. The protein has a molecular weight of 92000 and its mean concentration in human plasma is 200ug/ml.

Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis and Double Radial Immunodiffusion. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunoelectrophoresis: 120ul against 2ul human serum.
Double Radial Immunodiffusion: Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul in a 3mm diameter center well and 10ul in 3mm diameter peripheral wells.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Human Properdin Factor B
Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Preservative free. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile ddH2O. Dilute further in PBS, pH 7.2.
Recognizes human Properdin Factor B. In immunoelectrophoresis against human EDTA plasma a single precipitin line is obtained in the beta-2 region. Does not react with any other protein component of human serum or plasma. A weak reaction with mouse has been observed in double radial immunodiffusion.
