Connexin 33 (CX33, Gap Junction Alpha 7 Protein, CXA-7)
Description:
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blotting. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blotting : We recommend testing of antiserum at 1:1000-1:5000 for neat serum and 1-10ug/ml for affinity pure using Chemiluminescence technique.

ELISA (1:10K-100K using 50-100ng Cx33 control peptide/well.

Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Concentration:
As reported
Immunogen:
A 17 amino acid peptide sequence within the C-terminal cytoplasmic domain of Rat Cx33 (2) was used to generate anti-rat Cx33. Peptide was coupled to KLH (carrier protein)
Purity:
Serum
Form
Supplied as a liquid, neat serum, 40% glycerol.
Specificity:
Rat Cx33 immunogenic peptide sequence is specific for Cx33 and no significant homology is seen with other Connexin. Sequence homology of rat Cx33 peptide with other species Cx33 is not known
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
