Description: Cyclooxygenase-2 is a mitogen-inducible form of cyclooxygenase and is expressed in response to inflammatory stimuli such as UV radiation and T cell receptor triggering. It induces angiogenesis and functions in normal keratinocyte differentiation. This enzyme is found in normal skin and epithelial cells of various diseases and cancers. This antibody will help detect and further characterize the inducible form of cyclooxygenase. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:50 for 30 mins. at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Ulcerative colitis (cytoplasmic staining pattern) Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
