Description: Crystallin AB (CryAB) is a developmentally regulated small heat shock protein known to protect cells from stress damage. It may also play an important role in the Golgi reorganization during cell division. CryAB is known to be associated with a number of neurodegenerative pathologies such as Alzheimer disease amd multiple sclerosis. As well, it has been found to be expressed in breast tumors of patients with shorter survival, suggesting that it may be a useful marker in identifying aggressive breast cancer. Positive Control: Human and mouse skeletal muscle lysate Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
