Cullin 7 (CUL-7, p185, KIAA0076, Cullin homolog 7, p180)
Description:
Cullins assemble a potentially large number of ubiquitin ligases by binding to the RING protein ROC1 to catalyze polyubiquitination, as well as binding to various specificity factors to recruit substrates. Cullin 7 is a component of E3 ubiquitin ligase complexes, which mediate the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. Cullin 7 seems to be involved in proteosomal degradation of proteins involved in endothelial proliferation and/or differentiation. Cullin 7 is part of a SCF-like complex consisting of CUL7, RBX1, SKP1, FBXW8 and GLMN isoform 1. Cullin 7 interacts with a complex of SKP1 and FBXW8, but not with SKP1 alone.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
