Cyclic AMP (cAMP)
Description:
Cyclic AMP mediates the cellular action of numerous hormones in virtually all animals, plants and bacteria. Generally, this interaction occurs at the plasma membrane where the hormone binds the cell and activates the cAMP-generating enzyme, adenyl cyclase. The increase in intracellular cAMP modifies a variety of biological responses.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
