Description:
Recommended Secondary Reagents: F(ab')2 rabbit anti-mouse IgG HRP

Applications:
Western Blot: Reported
Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin. Neat, frozen. Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.

Immunogen:
Last 15 C-terminal residues of human cytokeratin 14 conjugated to thyroglobulin.
Purity:
Purified by Ion Exchange chromatography.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% sodium azide.
Specificity:
Recognizes cytokeratin 14, a type I intermediate filament. Cytokeratin 14 is one of two cytokeratins that can distinguish stratifying epithelial cell types from simple epithelial cell types, being expressed by stratifying/keratinocytes cell types but not by simple epithelial cells. Clone 3H2053 has been reported to be suitable for use in Western blotting.
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
