Description: Glycoprotein B (gB) is the main antigenic protein within the envelope of HCMV. It is required for CMV mediated membrane fusion along with the gH/gL complex. The unprocessed precursor of HCMV gB is 906aa in length, with a MW of ~100kD. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunofluorescence: Use acetone-fixed CMV infected cells or frozen sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo I1904-06H: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
