Cytomegalovirus Glycoprotein B, Late Neutralizing Antigen (CMV gB, CMV Glycoprotein GP55, HCMV, Human Herpesvirus 5, HHV-5, HHV5, UL55) (FITC) |
|
|
Description: Glycoprotein B (gB) is the main antigenic protein within the envelope of HCMV. It is required for HCMV mediated membrane fusion along with the gH / gL complex. The unprocessed precursor of HCMV gB is 906 amino acids in length, with a MW of approximately 100kDa. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. |
