Description:
Desmin is a muscle protein found in skeletal, cardiac and smooth muscle cells. This antibody will help determine the presence of desmin and identify cells of myogenic origin in uncharacterized tissues.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:100-1:250
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 for 1 hr. at RT
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Positive Control:
Western Blot: Muscle
Immunohistochemistry: Intestine wall (cytoplasmic staining pattern)

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
