DLGAP1 (pan-SAPAP, DAP-1, Disks large-associated protein 1, Gkap, Guanylate kinase-associated protein, PSD-95/SAP90-binding protein 1, rGKAP, SAP90/PSD-95-associated protein 1, SAPAP1)
SAPAP1 is a member of the SAPAP family of proteins and is thought to be instrumental in the postsynaptic scaffold of neurons. SAPAP1 may function to assemble various other proteins at synapses. These functional proteins include scaffolding proteins, signaling proteins and cytoskeletal proteins. SAPAP1 is primarily found in the brain and more specifically in the cell body zones.

Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: 2ug/ml detects SAPAP on 10ug of rat brain membrane tissue lysate.
Immunohistochemistry: 1:400 detects SAPAP in rat schwan cells (putamen area) and rat dopaminergic neurons.
Immunofluorescence: used in cultured rat hippocampal pyramidal cells and interneurons.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
