Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunofluoresence, Immunohistochemistry and research (cell biology, molecular biology, microbiology). Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry: Sensitive detection of mycoplasma contamination in cell cultures. Suitable for use on Frozen and paraffin tissue sections.
Immunofluoresence: Positive control for detecting DNA antibodies on tissues of cultured cells, notably in the diagnosis of autoantibodies and autoimmune diseases.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Specificity:
Recognizes human DNA. Recognizes native denatured DNA extracted from various organisms: mouse DNA, calf thymus DNA, M13 DNA, SV-40 DNA and several plasmids. Recognizes synthetic DNA of different base compositions: poly dAT-poly dAT, poly dAT. Recognizes DNA-containing structures such as chromatin in diverse tissues from several species as well as in diverse cell lines such as XLKE-A6 (Xenopus), RVF-SMC (rat kangaroo) and HeLa (human).
