Description:
This clone is a reliable positive control in assays for detection of DNA antibodies, especially for the detection of autoantibodies in autoimmune diseases. It can also be used for sensitive detection of mycoplasma contamination in cell cultures.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue) and Dot blot on nitrocellulose membrane (after baking at 70C).

Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry: 1:10 with PBS, pH 7.4; Incubation Time 1hr at RT.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Reactivities on cultured XLKE-A6 (Xenopus), RVF-SMC, cell lines (tested so far) PTK-2, HeLa species (tested so far). Binding characteristics: Reacts with all forms of native and denatured DNA; reactive also with lambda DNA and synthetic DNA. Antigen recognized in All DNA-containing species.
