DNA Methyltransferase 2 (DMNT2, DNMT2, DNA Methyltransferase Homolog HsaIIP, M.HsaIIP, PuMet, RNMT1, tRNA Aspartic Acid Methyltransferase 1, TRDMT1) (Azide Free)
Description:
This gene encodes a protein responsible for the methylation of aspartic acid transfer RNA, specifically at the cytosine-38 residue in the anticodon loop. This enzyme also possesses residual DNA-(cytosine-C5) methyltransferase activity. While similar in sequence and structure to DNA cytosine methyltransferases, this gene is distinct and highly conserved in its function among taxa.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000
ELISA: 1ug/ml-3ng/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Hybridoma:
Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
