Technical Data
DNA, Salmon Denatured, 10mg/ml (Deoxyribonucleic acid)
Molecular Biology Storage: -20CShipping: Blue Ice
Salmon Sperm DNA Solution is prepared from highly pure, phenol-extracted salmon sperm DNA. It is intended for use in hybridization protocols as a blocking agent to reduce the non-specific binding of a hybridization probe to the surface of the filter. Carrier DNA is typically used at a concentration of 100ug/ml in both the pre-hybridization and hybridization solutions.

Size Range: Majority of DNA 2000bp (1% TAE agarose gel)

Storage and Stability:
Store at -20C. Stable for at least 12 months. Avoid freeze thaw cycles. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Source: Salmon Sperm
Concentration: ~10mg/ml (A260nm)
Form: Supplied as a liquid in DNase-free, RNase-free (DEPC treated) distilled, deionized water.
