Drop-out Mix Synthetic Minus Histidine, Leucine, Tryptophan, Uracil, Adenine Rich (1g) w/o Yeast Nitrogen Base (Powder) is used as a supplement to Drop-out Base for making synthetic, complete media formulations in accordance with Methods in Yeast Genetics. Heat with stirring until completely solubilized. Adjust to desired pH. Sterilize with 0.2um membrane filter. Aliquot into sterile containers. Do not autoclave. Contains heat-labile compounds that can be damaged with autoclaving. Storage and Stability: Store powdered media at RT. Opened bottles should be capped tightly and kept in a dark, low humidity environment. Prepared media should be kept at 4°C and used within a short period of time.
