Used for the maintenance of Drosophila melanogaster and other insects.


Directions per Liter (100ml): Dissolve 22.65 grams in 100ml of ddH2O, heat and boil for 15 min while stirring. Add 1ml ethanol to T2300. Add to the boiled solution upon cooling. Dispense into appropriate container. Store at 4C.

Directions per Liter (1L): Dissolve 226.5 grams in 1L of ddH2O, heat and boil for 15 min while stirring. Add 10ml ethanol to T2300. Add to the boiled solution upon cooling. Dispense into appropriate container. Store at 4C.Storage and Stability:Store powdered media at RT. Opened bottles should be capped tightly and kept in a dark, low humidity environment. Prepared media should be kept at 4C and used within a short period of time.

Appearance: Pale brown to beige, homogenous, free flowing powder.
